Each Shield has a wood french cleat hanger that allows you to place the piece in the wall.
Materials: collage pages on wood.

This body of work evolved after the completion of the Nomad series.
Shields are traditionally used as protective objects or as graphically compelling displays of identity (coats of arms).
My Shields are created using a variety of processes (painting, collage, and stitching).
The intention is to give them unique and communicative personalities.
Although my Shields might not protect their owners from danger, risk, or unpleasant experiences, my wish is that they might do so.
